LMC: Have you always been in contact with Al since your first meeting?  How did you both decide to start up this business?

AO:  Yes, Al lives in Brazil too.  We have a little office in my state.  Al makes comics and I do various works.  I decided to start this business and Al wanted to learn more about creature design and like a team we can learn more.  There are a few other people here that have similar interests.

LMC: What do you hope to achieve with this partnership?

AO:  We have a class, Al teaches fine arts and I teach sculpture.

LMC: What ultimately would you like to be doing with your art?

AO I would very much like to do concept art with companies in the US.  Work here and send the art to them.

LMC: What are some of your new projects in the works?

AO: I am sculpting a dinosaur and a fatman.

LMC: Are these 2 projects your personal projects?

AO: Yes.  I am trying my best on the fat man.  The dinosaurs are models for a friend of mine.

LMC: Where do you get your vivid inspiration for the detailed and excellent characters you come up with?

AO: My inspiration comes from the artists that are like Gods to me.  I have many.

LMC: What type of characters are your favorite to draw and sculpt?

AO: Many... I particularly like vampires, mutations, dinosaurs and zombies.

LMC: What type of clay do you like to sculpt with?

AO: I can't get Roma or super sculpey in Brazil.  I use a plastiline clay that is no good and very expensive.

LMC: Is Water based clay available in Brazil?

AO: In a state far from my home state, I can find it, but very expensive.

LMC: What are some of your preferred sculpting tools?

AO: Some tools I got from a friend in New York.  A basic set of tools.

LMC: Do you have some sculpting tips?

AO: Yes, study anatomy.

LMC: What do you typically use for reference?  Pictures, anatomy books, etc?

AO: Pictures, anatomy books, my sketches.

LMC: What other artists do you admire and why?

AO: My God.  So many artists I admire.  I will cite some, but this isn't all.   Paul Mejias.  His work is very clear.  Jordu Schell has powerful work.  Mark Alfrey is amazing.  Joey Orosoco of Stan Winston is fantastic.

LMC:  Talk about some of the masks you  made  for some mask studio recently.

AO: I'm making some for Tom Smith of the Monster Shop and Chris Russell of Twisted Toybox
